Clyde Baker, age 83 of Sevierville, died Wednesday, January 21, 2004. He was a member and lifetime Deacon at First Baptist Church in Sevierville where he also taught Sunday school for over 50 years. He retired from Carl Hatcher Furniture. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents Sherman and Alice Baker, brothers Gene and Charles Baker.

Funeral service 7 PM Thursday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Davis and Rev. Jerry Hyder officiating. Family and friends will meet 10 AM Friday in Shiloh Cemetery for interment. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of First Baptist Church, Sevierville. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
