McFALLS, BETTY A. McMAHAN - age 65, born July 6, 1935, of the Hardin Valley community passed away on Friday, September 8, 2000. She attended Farragut First Baptist Church. She retired from Tennessee Insurance Service Inc. after 41 years of service. She was an active member of Melton Hill Community Center, Inc. Betty enriched others lives and is deeply loved by her family and friends. Preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy June McFalls Ball; parents, Edith M. King McMahan and Ben H. McMahan; brother in law, James Perman McFalls.
She is survived by her husband, of 45 years, Robert Junior McFalls; son and daughter in law, Robert Dale and Vivian Jett McFalls, Powell; son in law, Danny Ray Ball, Parrottsville; grandchildren, Heather C. Ball, Parrottsville, Travis A. McFalls, and Jay Robert McFalls, Powell; sisters and brothers in law, Johnnie R. and John Moffitt, Greeneville, SC, Lola D. and Thomas E. Benett, Troy, Ohio; sisters in law, and spouses, Eula and Wayne Whaley, Kate and Charlie Gibson, Louise and Cleve Ogle, Margie and Fred Herron, Carolyn McFalls, Dorothy McFalls all of Knoxville, brothers in law and spouses, Ronald and Anna McFalls, Clell and Agnes McFalls all of Knoxville, Bertha and Jack Rogers, Seymour, Fred and Nellie McFalls, Solway; special nieces and nephews, Karen Boyd, N. Augusta, SC, Lesa Azar, Carrollton, Ga., Jeanne Karrick, Cold Springs, Ky., Ricky Fred Herron, Hardin Valley, Alan Moffitt, Tega Cay, SC; special aunts, Lela Lamon McFalls, Sevierville, and Irene Mills, Knoxville; special friends, J.D. and Johnnie Jett and family, Powell, Hannah Mae Bunch, Knoxville, Ruth Long, Ruth Herron, Edna Gammon, Bill and Sharon Thomas, Bob and Barbara Eldridge, David and Kim Skinner, Ron and Lana Peirce, Robert and Colby Eldridge, Jr., Jim and Dee Burnett, the Balls of Parrottsville, Hubert and Mary Diggs. Nephews will be pallbearers: Alan Moffitt, Raymond Boyd Guy Karrick, Ricky Herron, Dwight Gibson, Earnie McFalls, Brian McFalls, Larry Ogle, Jimmy McFalls, and Roger Brandstetter. Honorary pallbearers: Olin Proffitt, John Marcum, R.J. Ball, Bob Ball, Denver Ball, Roy Ball, Randy Ball and Greg Ball. Interment will be 11 a.m. Monday at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens, Edgemoor Road, Claxton, Rev. Charles Lawson and Rev. Maurice Branch officiating. Family and friends will assemble at Weaver Funeral Home at 10:15 a.m. Monday to go in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your church, the American Cancer Society, or Melton Hill Community Center, Inc.
