She is, in-turn, truly loved and will be missed by all that knew her. Mrs. Brown was a member in good standing of Glenwood Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Benjamin Parker Ford; five brothers, Ruby Ford, of Big Stone Gap, Va.; Dr. (Rev.) Hobart Ford, of Nashville, TN; Oliver Ford, of Johnson City, TN; Elmer Ford, of Sevierville, TN; and Cebo Ford, of Denton, TN; three sisters, Lolamae Ford, of Grassy Fork, TN; Bertie (Ford) Waters, of Alexandria, Va.; and Grace (Ford) Liberman, of Greenville, S.C.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Robert S. Brown, retired from Eastman Kodak after 45 years of service; two sons, Corkey Kelley Brown, retired nursing supervisor at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center, and Mickey (M.R.) Brown, retired Captain of the Kingsport Fire Department, and his wife Debbie; and one daughter, Doris Ann (Brown) Early, mother, wife, and paralegal and one special son-in-law, of 29 years, Chris Early; four grandchildren, Jennifer Maggie Jo Brown and fiancee, Nigel Davidson, Kelley Parker Brown, Rachel Elizabeth Brown, Emily Alta Early, also Miranda Hall and one great-granddaughter, Hannah Rose Davidson.
She is also survived by one sister, Cora Mae Grindstaff, of Denton, TN; three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Cebo Ford, of Denton, TN; Mrs. Oliver Ford, of Newport, TN; and Margaret (Brown) Little, of Kingsport; one brother-in-law, Rev. Eddie Liberman, of Greenville, S.C. Many in number are her nieces and nephews and she loved them all.
Calling hours are from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, at Oak Hill Funeral Home.
Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Lindsey, Dr. Charles G. Roberts, and Pastor J.W. Depew officiating.
Entombment services will follow immediately after the funeral service on Tuesday evening in Oak Hill Mausoleum Number Three.

Honorary pallbearers are Joel Justice, Terry (Norris) Morris, Kenneth West, Dan Alley, Larry Jessee, Clifford Brickey, Larry Arnold, Doug Musick, and Glen Winegar.
The family would like to give a special thanks to her lifelong friend, Linda Akers. Also, thanks to Terry (Norris) Morris, Kenneth West, and Larry Williams. To Mamie’s Sitters, Tracy Miller and Venus Murray, a very special thank you for your tremedous care. Thanks to Dr. Hutson of Wellmont ER, Dr. Merrill, and Dr. Bendeck.
Without the tender and loving care of her first born son, Corkey Kelley Brown, Mamie’s life would not have had the joy and security of just knowing that he was available for her around the clock. Thak you Corkey.
The family lacks the words to express the gratitude to the churches, which have reached out to our family at this time of sadness, Glenwood Baptist, Homeland Baptist, and Tabernacle Baptist.
WE WILL ALL MISS MAMIE.
The staff of Oak Hill Funeral Home is serving the Brown Family.
