- Benjamin Franklin Mateer was a farmer in Boggs Township, Armstrong County,
Pennsylvania and also a school teacher.
He was living in Kittanning, Pennsylvania as a retired farmer in 1914.
The will of B. F. Mateer of Kittanning, written 22 June 1915, probated 17 March
1917, bequeathed his whole estate to his wife Margaret E. Mateer her lifetime,
then all to be sold to pay the following legacies: $50 in trust until lawful
age for each grandchild (unnamed); remainder in four equal shares, one to
daughter Florence A. Robinson, wife of G. W. Robinson, but at her death this
share to revert to daughter Eliza May Elwinger forever. Executrix: wife
Margaret E. Mateer. Witnesses: F. E. Hays, N. J. Hays.
