Mr. Donald Ford , age 79 , of Hartford , went to be with the Lord on Thursday evening , December 17 , 2015 .
Mr. Ford will be fondly remembered by his family and all the wonderful caretakers at Newport Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was preceded in death by his parents Parker Ford and Viola Black Ford ; grandson Jeremiah Banks; brother Von Ford ; nephew Frank Faron Waldrop and brother-in-law Donald Hall.
Survivors include his children Kenneth (Millie) Ford , Norma Banks and Angie Ford , all of Cosby and Jeffery Ford of South Carolina; sisters Rowena (Frank) Waldrop of Cosby, Gearldine Hall and Marilyn Arwood, both of Hartford ; brothers Gary (Sue) Ford and Roger (Cathy) Ford , all of Hartford and Ted Ford of Newport.
Don was blessed with five grandchildren. Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon, December 19, 2015 , at Black's Cemetery with Pastor Gary Henderson officiating.
Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the graveside service.
