Mrs. Georgia Marie Ford Coggins, age 89, of Parrottsville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, October 9, 2001.
Georgia was a much loved mother, grandmother, and friend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Furman R. Coggins; mother, Hattie Ford Williams; brothers, Pettybone Ford, Abe Williams, and Joe Williams; and sister, Evelyn Erby.
She was a member of Forrest Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: A.V. and Gladys Coggins and Lucas R. and Phyllis Coggins; daughters and sons-in-law, Valire and Charles Ottinger and Iva Lee and Gordon Denton; and daughter, Stephane Banks.
Grandchildren: Pam Fergerson, Jan Coggins, Kim Smith, Jeff Coggins, Joel Coggins, Truitt Ottinger, Don Smith, Terryl Denton, Trina Coggins, Todd Ottinger, Brad Denton, Shawna Murrell, and Mikki Rouleau; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Sisters: Myrtle Ford and Willa Dean Ford, of Bridgeton, NJ; and Julie Mathis, of Newport; brother, Haskell Williams, of Newport. Also survived by many beloved friends.
The service will be held at 8 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2001 at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Chapel.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday morning, October 12, 2001 at Forrest Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening, October 11, 2001 at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home.
