Hazel Benson Hannah, 77, of Cosby, passed away Tuesday morning at the Baptist Hospital of Cocke County following a lengthy illness.
She was a member of Large?s Chapel Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Haskell Hannah; parents, John and Mary Benson; sisters, Ethel Hannah and Margaret Ford; brothers, Mack Benson and Rex Benson; and son-in-law, Leroy Shults.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Hannah and his wife, Tabbie, of Newport, and her daughter, Lillie Shults of Cosby; sister, Lucille Webb of Cosby; brothers, Jack Benson and Cleve Benson, both of Cosby; grandchildren, Mark Hannah of Newport, Lena Sims of Knoxville, TN, and Lenn Shults of Dayton, Ohio; and sister-in-law, Zeltha Williams of Cosby.
Funeral service was Thursday at 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Howard Hawk officiating. Interment was Friday at 10 a.m. at Waters-Large Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. prior to the service.
Brown Funeral Home was in charge.
