He was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Burnett and Norma Gregg; grandparents, Patton and Vicie Shults and Beech and Pauline Gregg; nephew, John Patton Gregg. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Diana Gregg and niece, Melissa Gregg of Newport; uncle and aunts, Johnny and Thelma Shults, Bob and Sue Shults, David and Kathy Gregg and Katie Williams all of Cosby, Gene and Marjorie Shults, Annette Mason of Newport, Pepsi Mason of Newport, Burt Glenn of OK and several cousins. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at Costner Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Gorrell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 8:45 a.m. Monday, June 23 at the Marty Shults Cemetery for the 9 a.m. interment. Arrangements by Costner-Maloy.
