He was a member and deacon of Point Pleasant Baptist Church. He was a lifelong resident and farmer of the Point Pleasant Community. He was preceded in death by his wives, Rita Lindsey Clark and Mary Ruth “Rudy” Clark, and daughter, Margaret Miller. He is survived by his granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Rita and Kenneth Carter, of Bybee; great-granddaughter, Lindsey Thomas, of Bybee; son-in-law, D.S. “June” Miller, of Bybee; special friends, Bobby and Kathleen Holt, of Newport; also several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Point Pleasant Baptist Church with the Rev. Billy Bush officiating with burial in Union Cemetery. The body will lie in state 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the services on Saturday at Point Pleasant Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Friday at Manes Funeral Home. Manes in charge.
