Reece, 90, passed away Wednesday evening at the Baptist Convalescent Center following a short illness. He was a member of the Deep Gap Baptist Church. Patton was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was preceded in death by a son, William Toy Reece. Survivors include his wife, Viola Messer Reece, of Del Rio; daughters and sons-in-law, Ovella and Lee Willis, of Newport; Ila and Roy Cagle, of Knoxville; Reva and Arnold Williamson, of Petersburg, Virginia, Eunice and Junior Lowe, of Aiken, South Carolina; son and daughter-in-law, Everett and Alma Lee, of Hopewell, Virginia; sister, Hattie Carlisle, of Del Rio; brothers, Toy Reece and wife Thelma, of Newport, and Richard Reece and wife Edith, of Del Rio; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; special nephew, Jimmy Reece and his wife, Beverly, of North Augusta, Georgia. The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Haney and Rev. Frank Hux officiating. Interment will be in the Clark Cemetery in Del Rio.
