Paul C. Fish died Tuesday June 17, 2008 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana . He was born Dec. 24, 1919 in Hartford, Tennessee to Dr. Charles Roscoe and Emily (Price) Fish. He worked at International Harvester in Fort Wayne for 30 years before retiring in 1976.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He served during World War II when he was wounded during The Battle Of The Bulge in Dec. of 1944. He was awarded the Purple Heart medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post 47 in Fort Wayne, the Concord Masonic Lodge # 556 and The Fort Wayne Radio Club as K9LSA.
He married Marguerite Dixon, Oct. 6, 1945 in Fort Wayne and she died in April 30, 1978. He then married Luisa Finau on Jan. 25, 1982 in Key Largo, Florida and she survives. He is also survived by 2 daughters, Dr. Karen Griggs of Ashley and Rita Bailey of Auburn. 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Darrell Fish and his fiance Janice Fleger of Fort Wayne, Warren and Mary Fish of Greenfield, Indiana, and Dwight and Oxana Fish of Elkhart.
Survivors include his step son and his wife, Joe And Brandie Fish of Auburn. Mr. Fish had six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. His brothers, Carl Fish of Cosby, Tennessee and J.R. Fish of Newport, Tennessee, three sisters, Beulah Wilde of Arden, North Carolina, Ruth Banks of Danridge, Tennessee and Allene Fish of Madisonville, Tennessee survive. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Griggs, two grandchildren, Melisa Bailey and Benjamin Fish, three brothers, Richard, Troy and Fred Fish, and two sisters, Viola Kidd And Waneta Brown.
Services were held Saturday June 21, 2008 at the Feller Funeral Home, Waterloo, Indiana led by Rev. Rex Carlson, Waterloo Methodist Church. Burial was in Waterloo Cemetery, Waterloo, with military honors conducted by the Fort Wayne American Legion Post #47.
A Masonic service was conducted by the Concord Masonic Lodge # 556.
