There was a celebration in Heaven on the morning of November 4, 2007 as Alice Strange Parks joined the Angels in Heaven.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Sally Strange; first husband, Marion Miller; daughters, Billie Jo Miller Suggs, Sarah Sue Miller; brother, Ted Strange.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 39 years, Rye Parks; her grandson and his wife, Steven and Kristie Suggs; stepson and his wife, Y J and Elizabeth Ann Parks; step grandsons, Roger Parks and his wife Debbie, Mitchell Parks and his wife Debbie and their sons, Tyler and Bradley; sisters, Dorothy Strange, Gladys Willis, Bernice Miller, Imogene Rathbone, Irene Pack and husband Everett, Wilma Sprouse; brothers, Floyd Strange Jr. and Zeruiah, Robert Strange and his wife LaWanda; son-in-law, Willis Suggs and his wife Louise; also many nieces and nephews; other family and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 6, 2007 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Arthur Willis officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 7, 2007 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Tuesday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
