John Mark Presnell, age 64 of Newport went to be with his Lord Thursday morning July 27, 2006 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Mark was a member of Hill Top Baptist Church and was a retired inspector at Shelby Williams Industry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lindsey and Rhoda (Ford) Presnell; three brothers and three sisters also preceded him in death, L.D. Presnell, Haskell Presnell and Estel Presnell, Lula Davis, Mamie Laws and Elvie Hartsell. Mark is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shelby (Ford) Presnell of the home, two sons and daughter-in-laws, John Randall and Delilah Presnell of Florida and Chad and Lindsey Presnell of Newport; three sisters and two brother-in-laws, Opal Williams of Newport and Cora Mae and Pete Holt of White Pine and Shirley and Kermitt Griffith of Newport; one brother, Ray Presnell of Newport; four grandchildren, J.R. Presnell, Shenna Presnell, Chelsy Presnell and Travis Presnell. Also three step-grandchildren survive Mark, Erika and Caitlin Kinser, and Leslie Flores. Several nieces and nephews and a host of friends and a special friend Daniel Raines also survive Mark. The family will receive friends Saturday July 29, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Service will follow at 8 o'clock Rev. Ben Watts and Rev. Cline Franklin will officiate. Graveside service will be conducted Sunday July 30, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Union Cemetery.
