Lester Patton Duckett, age 87, of Manassas, Virginia, died on Friday, August 27, 2010, at his residence.
The family received friends Monday, August 30, 2010, at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, with funeral services following.
The Rev. Dr. Billy G. Tatum officiated.
Interment was in Stonewall Memory Gardens.

U.S. Veteran Lester Patton Duckett, age 87 of Manassas, Virginia died on Friday, August 27, 2010 at his residence.
Mr. Duckett was born July 31, 1923 in Tennessee, son of the late Doc Ernest Duckett and Pinola Presnell Duckett. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Creola Duckett, a daughter Phyllis Duckett and by 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include his children Patsy Utt and Gilbert Duckett and his wife Joannie; his siblings Alene Hodge, Viola Miller and Hugh Duckett; his five grandchildren Lois Renee Utt, Jason Utt, Amber Terrant, Austin Duckett and Adam Duckett, twelve great grandchildren and by a nephew Tim Ford and many other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00 P.M. Monday, August 30, 2010 at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday with Rev. Dr. Billy G. Tatum officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens.
