TOWNSEND, MARTHA - age 75 of Strawberry Plains, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2003 at her home. She was a member of Knoxville, Baptist Tabernacle Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Spence and Rachel Phillips 1 brother and 1 sister. Survivors include her husband, Robert Townsend sons and daughters in law, Ron and Gaile Townsend, Gary and Karen Townsend and Bob Townsend grandsons, Billy Townsend, Steven Townsend, Kevin Townsend and Paul Townsend granddaughter, Melissa Townsend sisters, Mary and Nola. Funeral services will be held Friday August 8, 2003 11 a.m. at Evergreen Chapel. Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Chapel. Arrangements by Evergreen Chapel and Memorial Gardens.
