- Henry F. McTeer was a blacksmith on Nine Mile Creek in Blount County,
Tennessee. In the 1850 census of Blount County, Henry McTeer aged 23,
blacksmith, with wife Sarah aged 26, was listed as a resident of the 1st Civil
District.
During the Civil War he served as a blacksmith in Company F 2nd Tennessee
Cavalry U. S. Volunteers; he enlisted 1 August 1862 and was discharged at
Nashville on 6 July 1865.
Buried in Williamson Cemetery.
