January 6, 2003 marks the passing of Loretta Balch Wild, 62, following her lengthy battle with cancer.
Through the duration of this earthly trial she was an inspiration to all as she held fast to her daily walk with God which enabled her to shine His light on others. She was also a beacon of God’s love through her many activities serving the Lord. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Newport. She was also active in the Cancer Support Group of Cocke County.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Shell Balch Lychlyter, and father, Harley Jerome Balch.
She will be sadly missed by her loving, devoted husband of forty-two years, Bobby Gene Wild. She is survived by three children and spouses: Bobby Craig Wild and Teresa, John Martin Wild and Karen, and daughter, Stacy Wild Dawson, and husband, Tony. She will also be missed by her seven granddaughters: Brittany and Erika Wild, Bailey and Lindsay Wild, and Abby, Maddy, and Lilly Dawson.
Her presence here will be sorely missed by many other family members and friends. We rejoice in her spiritual passing to her heavenly home with God.
