Sharon K. McCartney, 54, of Saginaw, passed away peacefully at her home on October 15, 2014. She was born on October 5, 1959, in Winter Park, Florida, to Olie and Mary (Wright) Williamson.
Sharon was a CPA working for Yeo & Yeo of Saginaw since 2003. Sharon was a good carpenter, artist, and home decorator. She enjoyed sailing, the beach, cooking, music, gardening, golfing, and watching good movies.
She graduated from Chuckey-Doak High School in 1977.
Sharon is survived by her children Matthew Griffin of Midland and Elizabeth (Ryan) Maciejewski of Grand Rapids; granddaughter Kayla Maciejewski; her First Mate James Ferency; and her parents Olie and Mary Williamson of Cosby, TN. She is also survived by one sister Janice (Danny) Vercek of Cosby, TN and her two cats Phoebe and Rogue.
A funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Smith-Miner Funeral Home with Mr. David Dellar officiating. Friends visited with the family on Friday, March 21, 2014, from 4:00—7:00 p.m. and on Saturday starting at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Her cremains will be returned to Cosby where she will be interred at the Huskey Cemetery in the family sites.
