Ava Hall, age 76, of Cosby, passed away, Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at her home. She was preceded in death by her sister, Alene Jenkins; and brother, Aden Jenkins. She is survived by her husband, Claude Hall, Cosby; mother, Zelma Jenkins, Cosby; sons, Loy Layman and wife Maria, Cedar Lake, Ind., James Layman and wife Charmaine, St John, Ind., Fred Layman and wife Mary Kay, Eaton Rapids, Michigan; step children, Claudia Susan Erby, Scottsburg, VA, Sylvia Syler, Hammond, Ind.; brothers, Arden Jenkins and his wife Sally, Artis Jenkins and his wife Mary all of Cosby; eight grandchildren; several great great-grandchildren; also several other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Friday July 30, 2010 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Cleo Williamson officiating. Burial will be held 12:00 Noon Saturday July 31, 2010 in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 8:00 pm at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
