(January 23, 1937 - August 13, 2008) Gary Freeman, age71, of Cosby passed away, Wednesday, August 13, 2008 at his home. He worked with his brothers at Seven Springs Market and was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Bertie Freeman; brothers, Jack, J.C., and Claude Freeman. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Freeman of Cosby; daughters and sons-in-law, Nadine and Bobby Hayes of Bybee, Crystal and Jim Smith; daughter, Jennifer Freeman; brother and sister-in-law, Waldo and Evelyn Freeman; sister-in-law Beth Freeman, all of Cosby; grandchildren, Adam and Andy Smith, and Brandon Freeman; special cousin, Eunice Williams; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Friday, August 15, 2008 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. J. L. Sutton officiating. Burial will be 10:00 am, Saturday, August 16, 2008 in Union Cemetery, with L/Cpl Charles C. Roberts DAV Chapter 102 conducting military rites. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral services.
