JoAnn Messer, age 69, of Newport went to be with her Lord on Saturday morning, December 27, 2003 in Morristown following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Messer was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gracie Bernice (Ball) Click; seven brothers, J.C. Click, Authur Click, George Click, Drew Click, Charles Click, Joel Click, and William Click; and one sister, Lorene Click. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Clifford Messer of the home; special niece and caretaker, Nina Gorman; sisters-in-law, Sandra Lane, Louise click, and Univee Messer; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Sunday and Monday, December 28th & 29th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, December 30, 2003 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rocky Ball and Rev. James Suggs officiating. Interment will follow in Ball Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home has been honored to make final arrangements for Mrs. JoAnn Messer.
