(January 22, 1928 - December 8, 2006) Nora Phillips Ball entered this world on Jan 22, 1928 she peaceably left to be with her heavenly family on Dec. 8, 2006. She was loved by all and known by many. She was of Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her husband William Ira Ball two infant daughters Mary Ann and Debra Anne, birth mother Nola Phillips, parents Elbert and Ota Phillips, grandmother who raised her Rebecca Phillips Messer. Survivors include her children Rebecca Ellen Ball Sisk and husband Claude ,Jr. Sisk, Charles William Ball, Donna Kaye Ball Baker and husband Ron Baker, grandchildren Wayne and Hope Sisk, Bryan Sisk, Todd and Lisa Sisk, Debra and Randy Leonard, Chrystal and Jeremey England, Danny Hurst, Dalton Hurst, and Debra Baker, great grandchildren Ashley Leonard, Cody Leonard, Zachary Sisk, Shane Sisk, Dylan Sisk. She was the oldest of 12 surviving brothers and sisters; 3 sisters Collen Rogers (Thomas) , Corena Henline (Fred), Lorena Smathers (Keith); 8 brothers Elmer Phillips (Betty) , Burton Phillips (Sarah) , Ernest Phillips (Francis), Zeb Phillips ( Mary Emma), Jack Phillips (Carol), Kelley Phillips, Beecher Phillips (Anne) Mitchell Phillips (Suzy), special friend-sister-in- law Hester Brooks Holt, numerous nieces , nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and uncountable friends. Funeral services will be held 8 p.m. Sunday Dec. 10, 2006 in Manes Funeral Home West Chapel with Rev. William Swafford officiating, music will be provided by East Ridge Baptist Church. Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday Dec. 11, 2006 in Union Cemetery. Family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 10, 2006 prior to the services at Manes Funeral Home. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
