  Died as a Union soldier in Civil War. On 17 April 1861 John Marky and wife Caroline of Crawford County sold to John S. Mateer of Crawford County, 41.09 acres in Bucyrus Township, SE part SW 1/4 Sec. 9 T 3 R 16. On 22 May 1865 William Mateer as Administrator of the intestate estate of John S.
