Died: 09-30-2001 Mary (Emma) Click, 88, of Newport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday evening, September 30, 2001, surrounded by her family. She was a long-standing member of the Worldwide Church of God and a God-loving Christian on the day she died. Emma was an extremely kind and generous woman to all those who she met. No one left her home without being asked, “Honey, ain’t there something that I’ve got here that ye need or want?” Her kind nature and generosity will be missed by many. Emma was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Click; her parents, William and Rilda Mantooth; sisters, Lora Mantooth, Pearl Mantooth, and Margaret Mantooth; and brother, Howard Mantooth. She is survived by her sister, Myrtle Mantooth Conard, and sister-in-law, Vera Mantooth, and a host of other family members and close friends. The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 3, 2001 at 2 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ransom Hall and Rev. Adam Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Inman Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, October 2, 2001 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
