Marjorie F. Carver, age 79, of Cosby, passed away Friday, September 27, 2002, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
She was a member of Cosby Independent Baptist Church. She was saved when she was 11 years old at English Creek Church. Co. Founder of Kyle Carver Orchard with her husband, the late Kyle Carver. Both Mr. and Mrs. Carver graduated from Liberty Bible College. She was a member of D.A.R., 20th Century Club, and Newport Garden Club.
She was the daughter of the late Sherman and Amanda Fancher.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bruce, Harmon, Taft, Hobart, and Ben Fancher; sisters, Mrs. Clyde Henry, Mrs. Wade Clark, Mrs. J.V. Adams, and Mrs. Harold Moore.
She is survived by her son, Elbert Carver; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Irene Carver; granddaughters, Stacey Carver and Danielle and her husband, Jeff Thompson; great-granddaughters, Kiersten and Kylen Thompson, all of Cosby.
The funeral will be held 8 p.m. Sunday, September 29, 2002, at Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Howard Hawk officiating. Burial will be held 4 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2002, in Union Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Brady, David Popiel, Glen Anders, Larry Blazer, Wayne Bias, and Jeff Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral.
