Rev. Eulas R. Maddron, age 81, of Newport, died Sunday, February 10, 2002 at his home.
He was a retired minister, pastored several churches in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina, and was a member of the Newport First Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his father, William H. (Hop) Maddron; mother, Ada Webb Maddron; daughter, Helen Maddron Evenson; and brother, Glen Maddron.
He is survived by his wife, Sara Maddron, of Newport; sons and daughters-in-law: Glenn and Mary Maddron, of Lenoir City, TN; and Jerry and Alice Maddron, of Marshall, NC; son-in-law, Jim Evenson, of Knoxville; granddaughters: Jan Evenson Whitford and husband, Andy Whitford, of Lawrence, Kansas; and Kim Maddron, of Lenoir City; great-granddaughter, Anna Whitford; four step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren, all of Nashville.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, 2002 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Manes Funeral Home West Chapel with the funeral to follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. John Hicks and Rev. Eugene Barker officiating.
The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2002 at Clark Cemetery in Deep Gap.
