Butler, 64 of Cosby died Wednesday, October, 10, 2007 at his home after a courageous battle with lung cancer surrounded by his family. Donnie was retired from International Paper in Morristown and was a farmer most of his life. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Butler; father, Eugene Butler; grandparents, Ben and Julia Butler; grandmother; Addie Bryant, father in law; Ernest Denton, brother in law; Steve Foster and Charlie Gray. He is survived by his wife of 44 years; Nedra J. Butler, daughter and son in law; Yvette and Scott Allen, grandchildren; Jordan and Ashley Allen, Mother; Reva Butler, Brother and sister in law; Wesley and Henritta Butler, sister; Carol Slack and Sandra Foster, sister and brother in law; Sharon and Charlie Balch, mother in law; Mable Denton, sister in law and brother in law; Fayette Gray, Diana and Doyle Seals, also serveral nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and a host of friends, special friends Bob and Diane LaBreck. At Donnie’s request a graveside service was held 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Union Cemetery with burial there. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Judes.
