Bernice Rollins, 88, of Hartford, went to be with her Lord Thursday, August 8, 2002, at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.
She was a homemaker and a member of Ravens Branch Church of Christ.
Her husband of 51 years, Fred Rollins, parents, Ben H. and Nancy Green, brothers, U.L. and Beryl Green, and sisters, Pauline and Beulah Green preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons, Creed Rollins and his wife, Barbara, of Hartford, G.B. Rollins and his wife, Francis, of Hartford, and Mitchell Rollins, of Hartford; daughters, Joyce Hall and her husband, Alford, of Newport, Faye Southerland and her husband, H.C., of Del Rio, and Debbie Ford, of Newport; sisters, Euna V. Green, of Del Rio and Morine Ball, of Shelby, NC; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Rollins will also be missed by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends at Mariner Health.
Funeral service will be Saturday, August 10, 2002, at 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Olie Williamson officiating. Graveside service will be Sunday, August 11, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Laws Green Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, August 10, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Bernice Rollins.
