He retired from ALCOA after 45 years of service and was a member of their 25 Year Club. He was preceded in death by: parents, Victor and Lydia Atchley ; brother, Freeman Atchley ; sister, Louise Atchley . Survivors: wife of 60 years, Eula Large Atchley ; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Vickie Atchley of Maryville; daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and George Herron of Franklin, Tenn., and Brenda and Harry Vaught of Lawrenceville, Ga.; grandchildren, Suzanne Herron, David and Lexa Herron, Dr. Neal and Darlene Atchley , Allan and Kim Atchley and Brian Vaught; two great-grandchildren, Lydia and Chloe Atchley ; sisters, Pauline Guinn and Adas Atchley , both of Greenback. Funeral services are at 8 p.m., Saturday, November 21, 1998, in the Trinity Chapel with Dr. Allen Raines officiating. Interment will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 1998, at Grandview Cemetery.
