(January 1, 1955 - July 1, 2010) Janice Kimberly (Kim) Sprouse Ball, age 55, of Newport, passed away at her home Thursday, July 1, 2010. She was a member of Lincoln Avenue Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lois Sprouse. She is survived by her husband, Terry Dane Ball of Newport; sons, Jeremy Dane Ball and wife Shelley of Dandridge, Justin Ryan Ball and wife Ashley of Talbott; mother-in law, Geneva Webb Ball of Newport; sister, Linda Britton and husband Brad of Chatsworth, GA; nephew Todd Britton his wife Mary and their children Sally, Annie, Maggie, and Anderson;sister in law and brother in law Teketa and Robert Hogan nephews Andy and Ethan Hogan; sister in law and brother in law Teressia and Burnett Stewart, nieces Ashley Spurgeon , her husband Josh; Jackie Fontes and her husband Armaondo; brother in law Mike Fielder also other family and friends. Funeral services will be held 8:00 pm Saturday, July 3, 2010 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Harold Ball and Bobby Hogan officiating. Burial will be 2:00 pm Sunday, July 4, 2010 in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral. Although her life was cut short, Kim lived life to the fullest, surrounded by those that loved her. She traveled to nearly every state with her beloved husband Terry by her side, and some of her favorite destinations were Charleston, S.C., Savannah, Georgia and Hawaii. Although she went on many adventures, she always returned home to Newport, where she was born and raised, and where she was surrounded by loving family and friends from the community and and from her church, Lincoln Avenue Baptist.
