Ruby M. Emert Fox, born Nov 19 to George W. and Bessie L. Maples Emert. Ruby spent her early years in the Pittman Center Community. Ruby was married to J.T.Fox and they were life long residents of the Mt. Zion Community in Pigeon Forge. Ruby was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. Ruby was a avid follower of Sevier County history, who loved to share her knowledge and love of the area.
Preceding Ruby in death are her husband of 60 years J.T. Fox, parents: George and Bessie Emert, father and mother-in-law: Charlie and Sophia Fox, son-in-law: Kenneth Lee Bell, sisters: Hazel Wells, Reva Joyce Emert, brothers: Victor, Otha, and Carl Emert, brothers-in-law: Ray, Eugene, and Bill Fox, sister-in-law: Aileen Fox Caylor.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Gary L and Pam Fox, Pigeon Forge, daughter: Shirley A Flynn-Bell, Lincoln, NE.
grandchildren: Michelle N. “Shay”, Jeffrey T., Charles A., Christopher S., Candi A., and Rachel D. Fox. step grandchildren: Steve and Sue Bell, Chino, CA and Debra Garrett, Salem, OR., also many nephews, nieces, and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, Oct 9, 5-7 PM, Rawlings Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 7:00 PM with the Reverend Melvin Car officiating. Family and Friends will gather in the Old Red Bank Cemetery Tuesday October 10, 2006 for the Interment Service beginning at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Alzheimer Association or Friends of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Ruby M. Emert Fox, 81, of Pigeon Forge, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006. She was a lifelong resident of the Mt. Zion Community in Pigeon Forge. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, J.T. Fox; parents, George and Bessie Maples Emert; two sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary L. and Pam Fox of Pigeon Forge; daughter, Shirley A. Flynn-Bell of Lincoln, Neb.; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Roberts of Corryton, Tenn., brothers and sisters-in-law, Stanley and Joanne Emert Sr., Glenn and Amy Emert and Bill and Loeta Emert; brother, Paul Emert; sisters-in-law, Marie Emert and Ruby Fox; brother-in-law, Hobert Caylor; many nephews, nieces and friends.
Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Old Red Bank Cemetery.
