Charles Maurice Bell, 79, of Sevierville, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at his home.
He was preceded in death by his son, Edmond Dean Bell, parents, James H. and Nancy Presnell Bell, brothers, Edmond, Chester, and James, Jr. Bell, sisters, Mary Bell Smith, Dorothy Bell Ogle, Louise Bell Kyker, and infant, Ailene Bell, and former wife, Sandra Merchant Bell.
He is survived by his sons, Derek Bell of Sevierville, and Jamison (Jamie) Bell of Boston, grandchildren, Kristian (Carl) Diebold of Franklin, TN, and Derek Bell, Jr. of Sevierville, brother, Clyde (Elsie) Bell of Hawthorne, Florida, sisters, Hazel Bell Kuszmaul of Homer, Alaska, and Wilma Proffitt of Newport.
Charles was a USAF Veteran of 17 years serving in Japan and the Vietnam Conflict as a radar operator, He was also an Artist/Illustrator for the Air Force.
Following his retirement from the Air Force, he enrolled in Walters State School of Nursing and was a member of the first graduating class of nurses.
Charles continued his painting and his masterpieces grace many homes and offices throughout the US.
He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his family and friends.
