Mrs. Bea Williamson Quinton Ragan, 66, of Cosby, passed away Monday afternoon, August 28, 2006, at her home. She was an amazing person and the world’s greatest mother, having devoted her life to her children. All who knew her, knew this to be true. Bea was a member of Laurel Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Cosby. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Maude Williamson, and brother, Clifford Williamson. Survivors include her husband, Ben Ragan, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy (Quinton) and Lynn Janutolo, of Newport, and Karen (Quinton) and James Eby, of Sevierville; four lovely grandchildren, Ashley, Jimmy, Taylor, and Jon Michael; brother and sister-in-law, Olie and Mary Williamson, of Cosby, and brother, Wayne Williamson, of Newport. Additional survivors include several nieces and nephews, and all the many friends, including special friends, Vivian Quinton and Jimmy Dale Quinton, the father of Bea’s children, both of Sevierville. It was Bea’s wish that she be cremated, and that no funeral services be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Betty Harrison, Memorial Chair, Cocke County Chapter, 567 First Street, Newport, TN 37821. Cremation arrangements by Costner-Maloy.
