He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, veteran of World War II, and a long time employee of Reed Sign Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elder and Maude Bales; brothers,Johnny, Roy, and James Bales; sisters, Tisha Byrd and Sarah Hurst; son-in-law, Jimmy Teffeteller; and grandson, James Teffeteller. Survivors: Wife: Mildred (Nana) Bales Daughter: Sharon Teffeteller Daughter and Son-in-law: Linda and Bill Welch Grandchildren: Cheryl and Steve Houser, Scarlett and Adam Householder, Paul (Pete) Teffeteller, Melissa, Tysha, and Mike Welch Great Grandchildren: Gracie Houser, Addison Paul and Riley Householder Sister: Ruby Beeler Several nieces and nephews Special thanks to Gene and Pat, special friends Sam and Annette Rollins and the Zion Hill Church family Graveside service and interment 10 AM Tuesday at Atchley’s Seymour Memory Gardens with Rev.
