BALES, JAMES, - age 77, of Sevierville, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2000 at Ft. Sanders Sevier Medical Center. Member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elder & Maude Bales; brothers, Johnny & Roy Bales; and sisters, Sarah Hurst & Tisha Byrd.
He is survived by his loving family, wife, Evelyn Bales; daughter & son-in-law, Marsha & Jerry Rolen; son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Robin Bales; grandsons, Jerry Lynn Rolen & Jimmy Muncey; great-granddaughter Myka Muncye; sister Ruby Beeler; brother & sister-in-law Paul & Mildred Bales; several nieces & nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Jerry Bradley and staff. Mr. Bales is at Highland South Funeral Home, 9010 Valgro Rd., Knoxville, Tenn., where the family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. The family and friends will meet at Highland South Cemetery at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service with Rev. W.A. Galyon and Rev. Floyd Powell officiating. James Bales, 77, of Sevierville died Sunday, July 2, 2000, at Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center.
He was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.
His parents were Elder and Maude Bales.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Bales; daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Jerry Rolen; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Robin Bales; two grandsons; one great-granddaughter; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Mildred Boles; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Highland South Funeral Home in Knoxville.
Graveside service and interment will be 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. W.A. Galyon and the Rev. Floyd Powell officiating.
