DAVIS, MR. FRED - age 89 of Black Fox Road, Washburn passed away 1:50 a.m. Sunday, June 18, 2000 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He attended Pennington Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors: wife, Edith Davis; daughters, Ruth Muncey, Washburn, Hope Fish, Corryton; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Karen Davis, Sevierville; step-daughters and husbands, Linda and Wally Childress, Knoxville, Norma and Ray Husky, Seymour; step-sons, Troy Graham, Virgil Graham, both of Knoxville; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Goldie Gose, Lorena Dyer, both of Knoxville; brother, Verlin Davis, Luttrell; several nieces; and nephews. Funeral services 8 p.m. Monday, Cooke Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Gabril Haynes, Rev. Richard Nicley, Elder D.R. Cabbage officiating with music by Linda Nicley and Pennington Chapel Quartet. Interment 10 a.m. Tuesday, Boruff Cemetery. Pallbearers: grandsons. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Monday, Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville.
