Nancy Elizabeth Lafollette Parton, 58, of Sevierville went home to be with the Lord after a gracious and brave fight against cancer. She was born May 7, 1958 in Sevierville. Nancy worked at Mama's Farmhouse and was known by many as "Fancy Nancy". She loved her work family and enjoyed cutting up and having a good time. Nancy was always happiest when she could be with her grandchildren and she loved to celebrate Christmas while surrounded by her family.
Awaiting her in Heaven is her daughter, Jessica Rhea Myers; her mother, Irene Andes Trotter Lafollette; and her father, Dayne June Lafollette.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Buford Eddie Parton, Jr.; son, Casey Myers and Crystal; step-son, Craig Parton and Loretta; step-daughter, Tammy Parton; grandchildren, Dana Myers, Randon Ogle, Emily Myers, Ressa Parton, and Nicholas Sinard; loving brother, Roy C. Lafollette and special friend, Donatta Proffitt; sister, Melody Myers and Gene; sisters-in-law, Joyce Seaton and David, and Deborah LeCompte and Roland; brothers-in-law, Darrell Parton and Becky, John Parton, and James Parton; several nieces and nephews; and great friend, Jodi Babb.
The family is grateful for the care and compassion shown by Thompson Cancer Survival Center Sevierville, all the staff at LeConte Medical-Surgical floor and all the staff in their Intensive Care Unit especially Nurse Jaisa.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Atchley Funeral Home to benefit the family.
The family will receive friends 1-2 PM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 1765 Ridge Rd, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863 with the funeral service to follow at 2 PM at the church. The graveside service will immediately follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pastor Darrell Parton will be officiating.
