Harrison Andrew Hickman, age 85, of Maryville, passed away Friday, January 16, 2009 at his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Becky’s home. Mr. Hickman was a 32nd degree Mason, and a member of the 25 year club at Alcoa. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, having served during World War II in the Western Pacific. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Lucy Thomas Hickman; sisters, Iva Kirby, Cleo Jones; and brother, Robert Hickman. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jo D. Hickman; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Vicki Hickman of Maryville, Darryl and Helen Hickman of Centreville, Virginia, and Mike and Becky Hickman of Maryville; grandchildren, Shane and Kim Hickman of Maryville, Todd Hickman of Maryville, Nikki and Jeremy Lile of Maryville, Josh and Marlice Hickman, and Clark Hickman all of Centreville, Virginia, Stephanie Ogle and Ryan Hickman both of Maryville; great-grandchildren, Chase Hickman and Benjamin Harrison Hickman; brothers, J.P. Hickman, of Maryville, Wayne Hickman of Atlanta, Georgia, and Lloyd Hickman of West Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the Blount Memorial Hospice program, Dr. Benjamin Glover, and Dr. Albert Petty. Funeral service will be held 7:00 PM Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Miller Funeral Home, Magnolia Chapel, with Dr. Howard G. Olive officiating. The interment service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Grandview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
