Raymond Roberts Sr. (Papaw), 78, of Maryville, passed away October 17, 2010, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his daughters, Linda Jane Roberts , and Mona Roberts . He was of the Baptist faith and attended Third Street Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, June Holder Roberts ; children, Randy Roberts and companion Melissa Bennett, Connie and Doug Hipps, all of Maryville, Tommy and Kathy Roberts of Nemaha, Iowa; grandchildren, Crystal and Josh Cummings, Randy and Kim Roberts III, all of Maryville, Jason and Shauna Roberts of Crab Orchard, Ky., Nathan and Lindsey Seymour, Tommy Roberts Jr., Nicole and Issac Gentry, all of Maryville; Tiffany and Zach Peterson of Oklahoma City, Okla., Morgan, Ashlinn, Emma, Jadon, and Amber; several stepgreat-grandchildren. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Blount Memorial Hospital CCU and ICU. Funeral service will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Steve Hickman and Rev. Lee Hicks officiating. The family and friends will meet at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home to proceed to Clarks Grove Cemetery for a 2 p.m. graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Hospital or The Diabetes Foundation.
