ROBERTS, CHARLES HOMER - age 61, of Maryville, died Sunday, March 28, 1999, at the family home. He was a member of Forest Hills Baptist Church, retired radio announcer with WGAP with 18 years of service. He retired from the University of Tennessee Entomology Department with 39 years of service. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Anderson and Pearl Roberts; and brother, Carl Roberts.
Survivors include: wife, Louise Rollins Roberts; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Sarah Roberts of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Tom McCarter of Maryville; grandchildren, Shannon and Amanda McCarter, Travis Roberts; great-grandson, Austin McCarter; brothers and sisters-in-law, Roy and Betty Roberts, Raymond and June Roberts, both of Maryville; sister, Myrtle Keasler of Maryville; mother-in-law, Stacy Rollins of Maryville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Monday, March 29, 1999, in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Wes Rankin and Rev. Ron Bailey officiating. Interment will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 1999, in Grandview Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 29, 1999, in the Trinity Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 983-1000.
