CRISP, ALBERT LEON - born February 24, 1915 left this world for a better place on July 1, 2010. He was of the Methodist faith, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was employed by Standard Knitting Mills for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida King Crisp; parents, Rosa and Houk Crisp; sister, Dora Allen; and brother, Johnny Crisp. Survivors: devoted brother, Clint Crisp; sister, Ruby Miller; sisters-in-law, Margie Arden, Ethel Whaley, and Elsie Crisp; nieces, Merlin Johnson, Patsy Sutton, Carolyn Sanders, and Hazel Christian. The family and friends will meet 1:15 p.m. Tuesday at Tennessee Veterans Cemetery for a graveside service and interment at 1:30 p.m. with Chaplain Roland Waters officiating. Military honors will be performed by Volunteer State Veterans Honor Guard. Friends may call at their convenience on Monday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway.
