WORSHAM , MAYME McCARTER - age 75 of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2003 at Baptist Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Mayme was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of Second United Methodist Church where she was active in the Methodist Women, the Joy Club and the Abundant Life Sunday school class. Preceded in death by parents, Audley and Lenore McCarter. Mayme is survived by husband of 55 years, Frank Worsham daughter and son in law, Janice and Pat Pierce son and daughter in law, Dale and Lauren Worsham , Charlotte, North Carolina grandchildren, Jennifer and Daniel Pierce, Lindsay and Melissa Worsham . Funeral service will be 7 p.m. Saturday at Berry Chapel with Rev. Gerald McFarland and Rev. David Lord officiating.
