Preceded in death by husband, George Hembree ; two stepsons, Dillard and Maynard; one daughter, Flo Byrd; son, James Hembree and several brothers and sisters; parents, James Manual Ledbetter and Annie Lurena Shields Ledbetter. Survivors: daughter, Lois and Bob Hauser of Hillsboro, Ohio; daughter, Ruth Fox and husband, J. R. Fox of Knoxville; son, Dewey A. Hembree and wife, Lily of Knoxville, and 32 grandchildren. A large number of great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; sisters, Rachel Pack of Maryville, Tennessee, and Katherine Caylor of Townsend, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Berry Chapel, with Elder Eugene Wilder and Elder Phillip Hoskins officiating. Interment in Tuckaleechee Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
