Ernest Blaine Huff, age 90, of Wears Valley, Sevierville, TN died Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at his home. He was born January 18, 1925 in the Walden's Creek community and attended Pi Beta Phi High School in Gatlinburg. Ernest was a Veteran of WWII where he was a machine gunner in the 85th Infantry in southern and northern Italy and Austria along with his twin brother, Elmer. Sergeant Huff earned three battle stars and was awarded the bronze star. After WWII, he worked for ALCOA for 40 years. Ernest was a member of the ALCOA 25 Year Club and a member of Wears Valley United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, A.N. and Hettie Butler Huff; sister, Dorothy Myers; brothers, Fred, Hugh, Claude, Lyman, and twin brother, Elmer; sisters-in-law, Gladys, Betty, Grace, Blanche, Carol Huff, Callie Temple, Louise, and Lorraine Crowson; brothers-in-law, Ralph McCarter, Ray Myers, and George Temple.
Ernest is survived by his true love of 67 years, Mary Sue Crowson Huff; Daughter, Judy McKnight and husband, Mark; Son, Sammy Huff and Brandy Wiest; Granddaughters, Rebecca (Chad) Littleton, Elizabeth (Tim Self) McKnight, Katy (Corey) Wright, Brittany Huff, Sierra Huff and fiancé, Alex Steele; Great-grandchildren, Erica and Robert Littleton, Ramsey and Creed Self, and Blaine Wright; Brother and sisters-in-law, Herman and Jean Huff, and Casina Huff; Nieces, Kathryn Miller, HuElla Walters, Angie Gordon, Brenda Testerman, Jana Lou Beavers, Connie Bolden, Teresa Rickles, Janice Castle, Marty Reagan, and Londa Fleming; Nephews, John and George McCarter, Jimmy Myers, Freddie, Claude and Mike Huff, and Joey Crowson; Honorary Pallbearers, George McCarter, John McCarter, Willie Paul Headrick, George Otterman, James Cameron, and Warren Masey; Pallbearers, Jimmy Myers, Claude Huff, Richard Rickles, Mike Huff, Archie Hatcher, and Tim Self.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday, October 2nd with the funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Bill McAlister, Rev. Kenny Tucker, and Rev. Mark McKnight officiating.
Family and friends will gather 11 AM Saturday, October 3rd at Mattox Cemetery for the graveside service and interment.
