She was a member of Evans Chapel Baptist Church. Mildred enjoyed cooking, gardening, and working in her flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and was respected and loved by all. She was always a faithful prayer warrior for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Ellis; parents, Leonard and Tilda Allen; sons-in-law, Tom Houk and Glenn "Wendy" Hurst Her survivors include: Daughters: Marie Hurst and husband Warren, Patsy Farmer and husband Don, Louise Hurst, Debra Houk, Sharon Smith Grandchildren: Amy and Rod Case, Samantha and Rodney Spurgeon, Amanda and Joe Ayers, Andrew and Mariah Farmer, Heather Marie Hurst, Anne Marie and Clayton LaPrees Great-grandchildren: Peighton and Lela Spurgeon, Jackson Case, Avery Blake Ayers, Kaitlyn Farmer, Chloe Treadway, and Carson Thomas (due in June) Sisters-in-law: Ruby McCarter, Edith Ellis Many special nieces and nephews Funeral service 7 PM Monday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Sutton and Rev. David Newman officiating. Interment 12 PM Tuesday in Caton's Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends 3-6:45 PM Monday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
