Donald Ray Irwin, 69, of Seymour, died Monday, June 24, 2002 at Fort Sanders Hospital.A veteran of the Korean War and member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Seymour, he was a member of Indian Ridge Baptist Church of Blaine.Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Mary Ruth Irwin; son, Ray Irwin; stepchildren, Steve Lowe, Vicki Allen and husband Scott, Brenda Henry and husband Larry, all of Knoxville; sisters, June Bumbardner of Halls, and Jo Ann Keck of Maynardville; stepgrandchildren Lori Johnson, Beth Blackburn, Jessica Henry, Tyler Allen and Stephanie Lowe and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Hope Johnson and Zoe Henry; brothers, Herbert Irwin of Blaine and Robert Irwin of Benton.Family and friends will meet at Highland South Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, with funeral services at 7 p.m. Pastor Pete Koster of Seymour Community Church will officiate. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, 2002 at Highland South Cemetery with military honors provided by East Tennessee Honor Guard.
