FLOYD, BURL - age 78, of Bean Station, passed away Sunday, November 21, 1999 at Ridgeview Terrace Nursing Home. He attended Mary's Chapel United Methodist Church and was an army veteran during World War II. Mr. Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, King and Ruth Floyd and sister, Louise Foster.
Survivors include: wife of 54 years, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Roy Rich; grandchildren, Rodney, Ralynn and husband Brice Graham; great grandchildren, Tanner and Cooper, and "Seemore", all of Bean Station; sisters, Carrie Ballard of Sevierville and Emma Watson of Kingsport; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Helen Floyd of Sevierville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Floyd will be held Tuesday, November 23, 1999 at 8 p.m. in the Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Caroline Goddard and Rev. Cecil Harville officiating. Graveside services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Tuesday prior to service. Arrangements by Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge.
