Homer Kelly McCarter, age 92 of Pigeon Forge, passed away Friday morning August 2, 2013.
He was a WWII Army Veteran and a member of Middle Creek United Methodist Church, and retired from McCarter Lumber Company with over 40 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martha and Caleb McCarter; brother, Kenneth McCarter; sisters, Beulah Reagan and Ruth Whaley; and son, Terry McCarter.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Velma McCarter; daughter, Sandra Myers; granddaughter, Stephanie Myers; great-granddaughter, Hannah Moore; great-grandson, Colby Manis; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will meet at Middle Creek Cemetery at 1 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2013 for a graveside service. Cremation arrangements by McCarty Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, 607 Wall Street, Sevierville, TN 774-2950.
