Beverly Dawn Lashlee – age 51, of Pigeon Forge, was called home to be in the presence of the Lord on Monday, October 12, 2015 after an epic battle with cancer.
Many of you who read this had the wonderful privilege of knowing our beautiful mother, sister, daughter and best friend, Bev. If you are one of the blessed many who did, you already know she has devoted most of her adult life to inspiring and teaching others through fitness and yoga. If you had known her well over the course of these years you would also know when she wasn’t teaching you could find her playing volleyball or softball, coaching soccer, self-educating herself through reading, cooking and baking, sunbathing by the pool or playing in her garden just to name a few. Whether your connection to her is through family, a friendship or a familiar passerby, you would have known her to be funny, intelligent, funloving, wise, sassy, gracious, generous and kind. She had a burst of energy with the kind of light that can fill a dark room.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Kloss; grandparents, Mary Mills, Lucille Fuhrman, Jesse Perry and Chester Newton; uncles, Leroy Newton, Ron Newton, Donald Mills and Jesse Perry, Jr.; niece, McKinsey Doughty.
She is survived by her father and second mother, David and Donna Perry; her daughters, Amber Ward and Ashley Green; her son, Jonathan Lashlee; as Bev referred to him “the best ex-husband ever”, Michael Lashlee; step-children, Greg Metcalf and Sarah Lashlee; sisters and brother-in-laws, Tonia Robinson and Shane Porter, and Jacqui and John Stephens; brothers and sister-in-law, David Perry, and Chris and Charlotte Watkins; grandchildren, Kiara and Grace Ward, Bella Fletcher, Lanndon Hurst and Jazmin Cullom; nieces and nephews, David and Katie Perry, Tasha Robinson, Daniel and Skyann Porter, Charlie Doughty, Eric and Jessica Watkins; Her BFF’s, Beckie Munoz, Jenny Britt and Mary Cornell; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Pathways Church, 1126 Wagner Drive, Sevierville, TN 37862, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 7:00 pm.
