DALTON -- Pauline Huskey Davis Coats, 74, went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 8, 2001, in Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home after a two year illness of Pick's disease.
She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Nora Kyle Huskey and was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Bates Davis; and husband of 10 years, Franklin "Cotton" Coats; three brothers, W.L., Earl and Lawrence Huskey ; two sisters, Lura Cables and Iva Norton.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Michael Putnam, Gloria and Mike Shoates, all of Dalton; son, Bruce Davis of Dalton; five sisters, Helen Davis of East Ridge, Vivian Epperson and Cora Mae Frisbee, both of Fort Oglethorpe, Ethel Howell of Dalton, Agnes Brownlee of Calhoun; two brothers, Billy Huskey of East Ridge and Raymond Huskey of Atlanta; nine grandchildren, Paul and his wife, Sandy Putnam, Peter Putnam, Paige and her husband, Sean Teague, Summer, Sanna, Schylar and Sawyer Shoates, Julie and Jessica Davis; two great-grandsons, Preston and Parker Putnam; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be today, June 11, 2001, at 3 p.m. from the Evangelical Methodist Church with the Rev. Dewey Fleming officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center, 115 Mill St., Belmount, MA 02478-9106 or to Ridgewood Manor Nursing Home, Station 1, 1110 Burleyson Road, Dalton, GA 30720.
